The Real to Reel International Film Festival is held annually in Kings Mountain, North Carolina at the Joy Performance Center. It was founded in 2000.[1][2][3] The 2009 Festival will be held from July 22 to July 25.[4]

BEST OF FEST: Crazy, a 2007 biographical musical drama motion picture about the life of Hank Garland, directed by Rick Bieber
AUDIENCE CHOICE AWARD: New Urban Cowboy: Toward a New Pedestrianism, a feature documentary film, filmed and edited by Blake Wiers. This documentary is about artist, urban designer and social activist Michael E. Arth and how he rebuilt a slum neighborhood in a small town in DeLand, Florida.
BEST PROFESSIONAL DOCUMENTARY: The Borinqueneers, written and directed by Noemi Figueroa and Raquel Ortiz. This documentary is about the 65th Infantry Regiment (United States), an all Puerto Rican regiment that fought during World War II.
